“Some County commissioners have placed their focus on a massive, poorly planned, and wasteful garbage project while crucial public safety investments remain under addressed. We find ourselves in a position where we cannot afford another four years of this type of mismanagement. Jake Pelroy brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach. His intellectual understanding of the intricacies of the job, and his loyal commitment to the people of Lane County are needed on the board to rectify this situation.” - Candace Solesbee, Mayor of Cottage Grove

“I’ve known Jake Pelroy for several years. He’s a devoted family man who has served our country with honor. His post-military service reflects his continued passion for serving his neighbors. I can’t speak highly enough about him. Kail and I are proud to endorse him.” - State Representative Darin Harbick
“As a native Oregonian for the past seven and a half decades, I have witnessed politicians come and go on the Lane County Board of Commissioners.
The best commissioners have been the ones who have common sense, listen to their constituents, and conscientiously make fiscal decisions that invest the taxpayers’ money to get the biggest return on our investments. The best county commissioners have been the ones who don’t think they know better than the people who elected them.
Jake is knowledgeable, he listens, and he brings people together to get things done in common sense ways that maximize taxpayer dollars.
To be successful in today’s political arena you must know how the process works and have a network of allies to make things happen. Lane County depends on state and federal revenue to fund essential county programs. Jake’s many years of experience in Salem working with legislators, state agency staff, and Congressional representatives and their staff will be invaluable in meeting Lane County’s needs.
I greatly admire Jake for his strong collaborative leadership in the effort to stop Lane County’s multi-million dollar pie-in-the-sky Clean Lane boondoggle. As originally proposed, the “world class AI trash recycling facility” would’ve been a financial hardship on taxpayers and garbage ratepayers, it would’ve destroyed wetlands on a property that is prone to flooding and would have significantly reduced the quality of life for Goshen’s rural residents.
Please join me in voting for Jake Pelroy to be the next East Lane County Commissioner.”
