Jake Pelroy grew up in Veneta and graduated from Elmira High School in 2003. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps in January 2005, with a job as an intelligence analyst. During his time in service he contributed to Operation Iraqi Freedom during three deployments. In 2010, he was honorably discharged from the Marines and moved back to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon.
While at the University of Oregon, he began working on political campaigns. 2010 was his first campaign. He graduated in 2014 with a BS.
Since leaving the Marines he has worked on various policy/political projects. He has also spent 5+ years staffing legislators at the state capitol.
He married his wife Kelly in 2015; they have 2 boys, Graham (born 2016) and Marcus (born 2018). They are members of Gospel Community Church.
In 2024, Pelroy helped form the Lane County Garbage and Recycling Association (LCRGRA). LCGRA is your local association of family-owned garbage and recycling haulers in Lane County. We aim to protect and educate customers about issues facing garbage and recycling in Lane County and to protect the interest of its members.
LCGRA formed to educate and protect our customers and community with Lane County’s massive new waste project facility, CleanLane.
